Data responsibility
As a Yoda support staff, your role is to assist and advise users of the Yoda system regarding their stored data. While you have the authority to approve or reject submission requests for data publication, you are not accountable for the actual data itself. It is the Yoda user or researcher who owns and creates the data and bears full responsibility for its content. In case any published data contains errors or sensitive information, you cannot be held responsible for its publication, as the researchers are accountable for what they publish. It is not practical to expect you to inspect all data files in a package or possess a deep understanding of the data or statistics involved.
The Yoda team is responsible for the transfer of data within the system, including backups, transfers to the Vault, and transfers for publication. Any unintended data loss resulting from regular usage of the system falls under the responsibility of the Yoda team. However, any intentional actions that lead to data loss are the sole responsibility of the individual who caused the loss.
