LDS is an ISSC facilitated network storage with a functional layer provided by Research IT Competence Center. This means in-house developed and maintained network storage located on campus. Volume can be very basic or tailored to the project documentation, multiple protocols available, and default mount on ALICE. For details: see the link under get started.

LDS is a storage solution for storing large amounts of data.

Cost

€2,- TB/month (single) or €4,- TB/month (mirrored)

Max. storage size

LDS is intended for storing a lot of bulk data, large volumes (>10 TB) are possible.

Sharing and collaboration

Collaboration is possible with colleagues and students within the University. Access is controlled by appointed data managers within the project (self-service).

Availability

LDS is network storage and can be accessed anywhere. Snapshots are possible, and disaster recovery is possible.
