Connecting to ALICE
You can connect to ALICE from Linux, Mac and Windows workstations or even mobile devices. There are different ways available on how to login to ALICE.
Process
Connecting to ALICE is a two-step process. You first go through an ssh proxy server (ssh gateway) and from there, you can login to one of the login nodes.
The ssh gateway can be found at:
ssh-gw.alice.universiteitleiden.nl (IP 132.229.92.133)
For the login nodes, you can use the following alias which will connect you to the login node that is quickest to respond
login.alice.universiteitleiden.nl
If you need to connect to a specific login node, the login nodes are:
login3.alice.universiteitleiden.nl
login4.alice.universiteitleiden.nl
